CUSTOMS
For centuries, there are many traditions that have been born in Spain, but have been forgotten. However, there are certain customs that are still very much alive in the daily life of the Spaniards, despite being so old.
- Greeting kiss.
It is typical of Spanish culture to greet with two kisses upon arrival and when saying goodbye, even if you do not know the person. So, if a Spaniard greets you like this, don't panic! Be nice, this greeting is a tradition nothing more. ?
- Hours of meals.
Spaniards usually have lunch at 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm, and dinner at 9:00 pm, which is usually strange for foreigners. Therefore, if you travel to Spain, take some food with you.
- The tapas.
Called “going for tapas”, it consists of settling in a bar with friends to drink beer and eat small portions of food or entrees such as patatas bravas, pinchos and chorizos.
- The Spanish siesta.
The culture of Spain has different traditions, but this is one of the most particular. Since the Spanish rest at least a few minutes, or several hours, after lunch to recharge their batteries.
