SPAIN MULTI-ACTIVE

BRAINSTORMING

Spain has very marked characteristics of multi-active culture.

- Spaniards are very happy and partying.

- They love to socialize.

- Spaniards have a reputation for smiling a lot and being very friendly.

- They tend to be late and disorganized.

Spain is classified as a multi-active country, people tend to be more outgoing, impatient, unpunctual, talkative, disorganized, sociable and emotional, Spaniards attach great importance to personal relationships, spontaneity, flexibility and sociability, it may seem like a cliché but that of Spanish sympathy is true, at least as far as Europe is concerned and various studies prove it, according to the 4th Monitor report from Cambridge University Press, Spaniards achieve the highest score in sympathy and hospitality according to the perception of the rest of Europeans surveyed. Also, there is a custom of having conversations with strangers. For example, in an elevator or even on the street, because doing so is considered polite. However, in public places, Spaniards make a lot of noise and speak so loudly that often the conversation between friends seems like an argument. We also find that many foreigners say that Spaniards tend to be irresponsible and tend to leave everything to the last minute. In contrast, in big cities the Catalans are the exception, according to statistics they work a lot and are the engine of the country's economy.

If a person from Spain had to do a study in Barranquilla, they wouldn't have many problems with regard to culture, since Spaniards and Barranquilleros share cultural similarities, for example, they speak very loudly, they are very sociable, they like to talk to strangers, among other reasons. Perhaps the problem they may encounter is urban insecurity. They always have to be on the lookout, being careful, not to go out late at night, besides that they can touch many problems with the “macho” culture of Barranquilla, where women have to take care of their children at home but men are shirtless, drinking beer on the corner, yelling and do some “dude” stuff.
